Ainda bem que eu inclui Calder 1941 na minha lista de exposições pra conferir na cidade antes de sair de férias, porque a experiência de ver de pertinho um móbile orginial foi encantadora. Setenta anos depois, e é surpreendente que as estruturas ainda se movimentem com tamanha desenvoltura e delicadeza. Alexander Calder inventou o móbile em 1930, expandindo de forma radical o conceito de escultura. Em 1941 ele teve seu período mais profícuo, em que misturou materiais tão diversos quanto corda, arame e madeira, e experimentou com o tempo e a gravidade. Calder 1941 fica na The Pace Gallery do Upper East Side só até 23 de dezembro.
